So, please allow us to moderate Cloud type Skype roomĢ. These are good changes (more members and seen on Web Skype from a browser). Or more in Cloud rooms, 1000 have been reported to me, while the old legacy p2p (moderated chats) are limited to 300 members. However, Cloud rooms need to be moderated even more, as they are not only the only Group chat option that works in current Skype, but also, Cloud Rooms have the ability to have many more people in them! I have seen over 500 people because Group chat rooms are wonderful to see on the Web Skype now that they are all being converted to Cloud type rooms.

To make this work, also the ability for a new member and the creator/admin to chat with the new member privately, despite chat settings that prevent IM with strangers, needs to be allowed (overridden), because changing the roles may require the person to qualify,įor example, read and agree with room guidelines. We lost some of these moderator abilities. *Skype removed Creator role in Cloud rooms (please bring the Creator role and powers back!), and made them the same as admins. which are no longer accessible to current Skype, we had a command for this: /set options +JOINERS_BECOME_LISTENERS (once a room is made Joining enabled). They can be changed by Admin to User role to gain the ability to post IM chat messages into the group chat with /setrole USER. This makes all new member a Listener role, not user or speaker. Give Skype room creators* and admins the option to disallow members ( with a role USER or SPEAKER) to IM chat.
